Travis Pastrana is returning to the Rally America series this weekend! The Rally in the 100 Acre Wood kicks off in Missouri on Friday, so naturally that means the teams have been doing some testing.
In this short video, watch both Pastrana and Higgins tear it up in their 2014 Subaru WRX STIs. The team is expected to debut their 2015 models later this year. Full coverage of the event will premiere this Spring in Season 2 of Launch Control available on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! online, mobile and on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Oh god, the roads look fantastic this year.
Dammit, George, why'd you have to withdraw? That could have been us!

Road conditions look fantastic. Looks like it's going to be another epic race this year.
As for Travis, I think his expectations are going to be pretty low key. He's still injured (as usual) and he's going to getting used to a new co-driver as well. Looking forward to updates on the rally as they become available.

Pastrana is also going to be racing a trophy truck and the Mint 400 next month.

Welp, I guess I got something to go to this weekend. I am not a huge fan of Rally Racing, but I am shocked that I didn't hear a peep about this thing going on and I live 80 miles away.

Gonna be there saturday and sunday! Meeting up with the KCsubaru guys tonight for dinner, a bunch of them are working the course. Kind of crazy that I go to college 30 minutes from this rally lol.

Awesome to see Pastrana back in a Subaru! I hope he's planning to be at Oregon Trail too since Kenny from the Block is not competing here. Who is co-driving for him?

Serious question here, what are te differences between rally America and like other rallying like the world rally championship for instance. I notice a lot of people getting into rally America like ken block is the one who springs to mind and I'm just curious if guys like him and some of the moto x dirt bike guys that rally now are as good as world famous rally car drivers or just really good in a lesser racing series.

Actually there are a crapton of international drivers racing in Rally America. David Higgins is a multi-time British Rally Champion and Chinese Rally Champion (sort of, you're only awarded the title if you're officially a native Chinese citizen), he also runs the premiere rally school in the UK, David Sterkyx is a Belgian Rally Champion, Krzystoff Holowczyc raced 100 Acre a few years ago, he's a Polish national champion and one of Mini's factory drivers for the Dakar rally. Brendan Reeves and Will Orders are two of the hottest Australian drivers out there, I could go on and on. As for Ken, I would say currently he's slightly above average by global/European standards, one of the best by American standards (decades of reduced rally competition in the states has made it so our best doesn't have to be as good as other countries' best to become a national champion here. Fortunately the influx of foreign talent should fix that).

Driving, spectating, volunteering, or press?

Ok thanks I wasn't aware of any of that really. I've always liked rally but never really followed it mostly because I don't really have any channel that shows it, if it was on I would watch.

My reaction when I found the 100AW is only 10 miles from me

It'll be on NBC Sports this year. Also Mav TV does the WRC events

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Just spectating. The only racing I do is RC off road truck.

Higgins gonna lay the smack down!

I don't have mav but ill definately be tuning in if I see it on nbc sports. They took speed channel off air and replaced it with another espn basically so I don't watch a lot of racing anymore.
